NEWEST:  Quoted in the July 21, 2003 issue of  Time Magazine (YOUR TIME/LIFESTYLE) concerning emerging flavor trends in ice cream ... Food & Wine's June 2003 issue included our latest book (THE GOOD COOKIE [TGC]), John Wiley & Sons, September 2002) among the top 25 cookbooks of 2002.
SEMI-NEW Live appearance on CBS's Early Show to demonstrate a recipe from TGC. Tish Boyle  is at left in thumbnail, with Hannah Storm.  Earlier mini-tour of  Toronto and Vancouver also promoted  TGC. Media appearances and PR events went smoothly in both Canada and the U.S. More or less.
NEWISH:  First major sign of life for TGC: Book of the Month Club chose TGC as its main cookbook selection for February 2003 (click on photo at right  to see editor Pat Adrian [left], us, and Alice [lower right, yellow eyes] posing for publicity shots). With over 250 recipes, this book took a while to write and is BIG. Husband and his office colleagues were guinea pigs. Poor dears.

Previous sign of life: The holiday 2002 mail/web catalog of Sur La Table, the 29-store cooking equipment chain, featured TGC. TGC  has plenty of holiday recipes so - needless to say - we saw this as an excellent marketing idea.

Also cool: Bon Appétit  magazine included TGC  in its December 2002 holiday listing of "Four Books We Love." We hope that others endorse the magazine's view that TGC  "will be your guide to impressive, fun, and memorable holiday treats."

STILL  HEARING  PLENTY ABOUT:  DINER DESSERTS, published in the Spring of 2000. Easy, powerful recipes. How you wish desserts always tasted in the diner, but sometimes don't...
MAY  NEVER  RECOVER  FROM: memories of a book tour with long-time (now ex-) colleague and co-author Tim Moriarty to promote CHOCOLATE PASSION. Places visited: New York; Brooklyn Heights, Norwalk (CT), Toronto, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, and unidentified areas of Connecticut and northern New Jersey. See tour highlights.

FEELING  RELAXED  ABOUT GRAND FINALES: NEO-CLASSIC PLATED DESSERTS, final volume of the plated desserts trilogy that  hit the streets in February 2000. For dessert aficionados, pastry chefs, and pastry chef wannabes.
